King's Hotel Center - Monachium

Very clean, nice rooms helpful staff. Good location.

The hotel is a 5 mins walk from the main train station, and a 10 min walk to the beergarden (which you need to visit). The room was confortable and the bed was like the pictures on-line, very nice. The bathroom was big enough, and clean. Room had AC, safe, etc. People were nice and answer al my questions about places to see, restaurants, etc.

It was a really nice hotel room especially for the money (we got the third night free). Staff were extremely helpful, great facilities, very clean...my only complaint was that we had a king size bed and it was just 2 singles pushed together which meant that they would slide apart in the course of the night.

Delighted that I chose this hotel. It has a great location, really beautiful place despite being cheap. I didn't have breakfast any morning so can't comment on that. Had a few drinks in the bar one night (the reception doubles as a small bar) and it was nice and relaxing. There is a beer garden out the back which is handy as the hotel is non-smoking as far as I know. Staff were really nice. Only request I had was a bag of ice to take to the room and that was no problem. Room was lovely with all amenities neccessary. Well recommended by me.

Brilliant hotel very close to the Train. Staff Extreamly nice and have excellent English. Rooms are of a good size not large but fit for 2 comfortably.

We stayed 4 nights at the Kings Hotel Centre and couldn't find any fault at the hotel. Ideal location, round the corner from the train station and 15 minute walk from Marianplatz. Check in was advertised for 14:00 but we arrived at 12:30 and was checked in straight away to a double room. Room was comfortable, bathroom clean, neither enormous but big enough for us. Our room was on the main road but we did not hear a sound either from traffic outdoors or from other hotel noise.We did not eat or have anything to drink in the hotel but there is a marvellous beer garden half a mile away. Beware there is another hotel round the corner called Kings Hotel 1st class, very similar to ours after a few drinks!

The hotel was superb and the 4 poster beds very traditional. It is in a good location on the edge of the city with just a short stroll to everything. At night it is quiet so you get a much needed sleep after a days sightseeing!!

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. It was in a nice neighborhood a few blocks walk to Marienplatz. Staff was very nice and rooms clean. It is a very good value for the money spent especially since we're from the US. It was probably the best "deal" we had on our entire 2 week trip throughout Europe. Only minor drawback is they don't have face towels & only have liquid soap in both the sink & shower. That was a little unusual that the room was setup this way. Definitely would stay again & recommend this hotel to friends in the future going to Munich.

We have stayed several times in this great stylish hotel just around the corner from the Hauptbanhof in Munich. Great rooms and very friendly staff. Whenever I am looking for a room in Munich I always go for my favorite: The Kings Central.

My wife and I booked three nights in the King's Hotel Center at the end of our trip to Paris and the Rhine River Valley. While some of the other hotels that we stayed in had more character on the outside, there were certain trade-offs that we made with these other hotels in the areas of comfort and service. This hotel delivered excellent comfort, cleanliness and service that we welcomed with open arms. Everything about the room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom facilities were the best that we had experienced anywhere during our vacation. The location was also great, just far enough away from the Hauptbahnhof to avoid the crowds, but close enough for easy access to trains and other public transportation. Marienplatz and the Hofbrauhaus were within easy walking distance and the city tour busses stopped right in front of the Train station. The customer service was also first rate. All of the desk staff spoke English and were able to give us good directions to places we wanted to visit. I would stay here again if I was going to be in Munich.

Completed 2 nite stay at this hotel. It was a good value for the amount we paid. Neighborhood is good. Just a few blocks away from Marienplatz and it's on a good safe street. The streets south of the train station were a little seedy. The King Hotel was a few blocks north and much nicer. Room was clean and tidy. Staff friendly & helpful.

The hotel is very nice and very well located. It staff was very helpful. The only problem we had was the room was small. We stayed one night so it was not a problem but we would not be able to unpack and take are clothes out of our suitcases. The breakfast cost was expensive. If we stayed longer then a night we would have found another place to eat.

I stayed in one of the larger inner courtyard rooms for few days with my husband. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is convenient to the train station and many attractions. The internet is on the expensive side, but otherwise everything was good.

I stay here frequently because it's conveniently located -- two blocks from the subway entrance -- and also because it's a great place to sleep. The beds are truly comfortable, the a/c works well, and it's super-quiet. That's what I really need from a hotel under most circumstances, and that's what the King's Hotel delivers.

When I went searching for a hotel in Munich, the King's Hotel Center seemed to me to have a decent price as well as consistently good reviews. So I made a reservation. I found it to be in a convenient location (just a short walk to the main train station), clean, reasonably sized room (especially by euro standards) and the staff was always helpful and pleasant.

This hotel was only a few blocks from the main train station. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. There is a pub across the street with pretty good food if you don't feel like going to the train station. Our only complaint was that breakfast there was not included, and what they offered was an expensive roll and coffee.

We stayed 3 nights starting 20 May 2009, we were traveling by train and the near location to the HBF was great. Augustiner and Lowenbrau beer gardens were close, The Braustubbe Vom Spaden Bavarian resturaunt across the street was traditional and very good. The staff was helpful to us who are German language deficit. Hopefully the next trip to Europe will include Munich and a stay at the King's Hotel Center.

I really enjoyed this little hotel. I found it good value and the staff extremely pleasent. Its location is perfect for ambling into town.

This is a great room for the money. This hotel is within 1 1/2 blocks of the train station. Also just a few blocks away from the Augustiner Beer Garden and the pedestrian mall that leads to the Marienplatz. We had a quite, comfortable room (the canopy beds are really cool). The desk staff is VERY friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to eat. I highly recommend this property. We will stay there again next trip to Munich.

The hotel came highly recommended by a friend who had previously stayed there. This being our first trip to Europe, we had been somewhat intimidated. The staff was extraordinarily responsive...both via email and in person. Sensitive to our English-only situation, they were patient and helpful; all recommendations offered were perfect. The hotel and rooms are very clean; it is ideally located; and the price is very fair. We will recommend it to others and stay there the next time we visit Munich.

The hotel exceeded our expectations, though it had been highly recommended by a friend. The responsiveness, welcoming spirit, and professionalism of the staff was remarkable; the room and hotel were exceptionally clean and amenities adequate; the location was superb; and the price fair. We would definitely stay there again and will recommend to friends.

This hotel is nice for the price you pay. We stayed at another hotel on the other side of the HB and it was not nearly as nice as this one. The neighborhood is much cleaner and it is nice. We used the internet cafe down the street. It is only a 10 min walk to downtown and a 5 min walk to the train station. The room was nice, comfortable beds and the entire hotel was quiet. Great place to end our trip.

I stayed here for 4 nights in April 2009. It is very close to the main railway station (about 200m) but it is a very safe and quiet area. The check-in and check-out was very easy, quick and efficient. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, spoke good english and was impresed with them. The room was lovely, clean and had everything you would need. It was smaller than I expected but it still was ok. The breakfast was not included but there are plenty of cafes and typical german bars close-by in which to get breakfast. There is a lovely traditional bavarian resteraunt across the street which serves traditional meals - worth eating dinner there. Overall, I would highly recommed this hotel especially for its location - close to city centre and public transport and also for its service. The only negative thing is that the internet is expensive and the business centre is tiny. I had to check-in for my flights online and it cost 70c to print a sheet and 35c per minute. Its only a minor issue but maybe it would be cheaper to use an internet cafe which are close by. I want to go back to munich as it is a lovely city and will definitely stay here.

I have traveled all over Europe on many occasions and this is the best hotel experience I've ever had. First off, the hotel coud not have been in a better location. It is on a very quiet street, so close to all the exciting things to see in Munich. The train station was right next to the hotel offering convienient passage around town or to other towns, which we did do. The hotel is close enough to everything that you can walk though and really enjoy the city. The staff at the hotel was so courteous, professional and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The room was a good size for Europe, as you know they are known to be smaller than our American hotel rooms. My wife and I do not have a single complaint about this hotel and we will be using it in future visits to Munich.

We've stayed at many hotels in Europe without knowing the exact location of the hotel. This was great! Perfect location near EVERYTHING--especially the beer garden and city center! Friendly staff--even got a chocolate bunny outside our door Easter Sunday! Nice touch! Would stay there again!!!

Very nice hotel. The staff was welcoming and very proficient with English, if you need that. The location was outstanding, only a few minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof. Room cleaning was done promptly and satisfactory, and the rooms have a very "homely" feeling. Would most likely stay at the King's Hotel again if I were to go back.

Very tidy and clean room.However, i booked a kingsbed and i got two double beds-anyway thats not very important.Always book together with breakfast since it costs 12EURO...I woudl really go back..friendly staff,very good position and clean

We stayed in February- man did they turn up the heat! we had to open the window or sleep without the covers on. The staff was very helpful and even printed off info for us from the computer for free. If you want to use the internet for email and stuff don't use the lobby computer- too expensive when there is a really cheap internet cafe a few doors down. The breakfast is expensive but it is all organic and very delicious- at least splurge once and get it,you won't have to eat lunch. Hope you enjoy your stay!

hard to find from train station, but make sure you get the correct kings hotel; there are 2 within a block of each other. the room was very small and internet charges are very high compared to 4 other places we stayed in munich, vienna and salzburg. the neighborhood has a few strip clubs nearby and no place other than the train station nearby to eat. the front desk was very helpful and the breakfast was good.

My wife and I along with another couple stayed at this hotel for a weekend in January. Hotel was centrally located from the train station and a 15 minute walk from the old town. The hotel itself was clean, staff were friendly and efficient without being overly so. Room was comfortable if a little small but with a great shower. We did not have breakfast there. Good for a weekend like this when we were out all the time and wanted a clean and confortable place to stay.

We had a great time in Munich visiting the Christmas Markets and Beer Halls. The Kings Hotel was a great place to stay, close to the station and a shortish walk in to the Marienplatz. The rooms were as clean as a whistle and were very comfy. Two single duvets on the double bed were not such a great idea though, they cause drafts and lead to 'partner wars'. Nevertheless if we go back to Munich we will probably stay at the 'Kings' it is a good value friendly hotel.

Spent 4 wonderful nights in Munich enjoying the sights and the Christmas Market. The Kings hotel was within easy walking distance to the Market Area and the staff was more than helpful in finding other things to do within the city itself. Multilingual staff will bend over backwards to assist with anything. The only downside that I see are the bathrooms. There is no shower as many US travelers would know it. A drain in the floor and a faucet mounted on the wall is all you get in the bathroom. Was fine for me, but did require the use of all the towels to dry the floor so I didn’t break something. If you are looking for an affordable, comfortable, and convenient hotel near the city center, I highly recommend the Kings Hotel. Dec 2008

excellent service, well appointed rooms, good location - overall a perfect experience

Very well presented and clean hotel in excellent cenrtal position, only 200 meters from the central station. Friendly and helpful English speaking staff. We stayed 4 nights. Reasonable rates. Wehave stayed in three other Munich hotels.

Loved the furnishing of this room, was like staying in a fairy tale, but very up to date with flat screen tv. Both room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Hotel staff were very helpful in giving direction to the sites nearby.
