Sheraton Krakow Hotel - Krakow

Everything we expected from this 5* hotel; we had a great holiday! We booked a deluxe room and on arrival were given a room on the club floor (no access to club lounge) with a lovely view over the river. Towels & sheets changed daily, if required. Took advice from previous reviewers & booked hotel limo to pick us up/drop us off at airport; making the journey stress-free. Will certainly be planning another holiday to Krakow soon.

Hotel is nice but no notification of closure of facilities was a huge dissapointment - the very reason the hotel was booked in the first place. Not happy.

perfect location yet our room was very quiet. Some confusion whether breakfast was included or not. (hotels website promises complimentary breakfast for all the guests ) but we didnt get it. Small problem; cafe round the corner serves all day breakfast for much less. Our room was very comfortable with the best bed I;ve ever slept . They are building underground carpark next door and it spoilt the approach to the hotel somewhat. but It's only temporary. Hotel overlooks the river and the Royal castle Wawel is 5min walk away. Couldn't be better.

We were made to feel special from the moment we arrived, we were greeted when the taxi pulled up outside the hotel. Although to early to check in they stored our luggage whilst we walked into the square for lunch, approx a 15 minute stroll, allowing time to look at nearly every shop. We had a deluxe room with fantastic views over the river and castle. Everything catered for, Iron, ironing board, hair dryer, bath robes, slippers, all the usual toiletries plus some extras such as hair conditioner, body lotion and shower scrunchies. Didn't eat in restaurant but had 2 room service meals, presentation & quality of food exceptional. Only disappointment was the meal in the sports bar called 'someplace else' attached to the hotel. The service was excellent as was the multiscreen tv showing sport, however the food was not up to even TGI FRIDAYS standard. BBQ ribs were more fat than meat and covered in sauce that seemed full of artificial sauce & flavouring. We used the pool facility, well equipped & relaxing atmosphere. Noticeably every member of staff we encountered was polite, well trained & efficient & made us feel special & valued, 7th visit to Krakow staying in different hotels & now wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

The Sheraton Krakow exceeded our expectations in all ways. The location overlooking the Visla & Wawel Castle was outstanding & it was a short walk to the Rynek (Old Town Square). The staff was some of the best we have ever encountered & very helpful. Only complaint (although excellent in quality & quantity) was the price of breakfast. At $25 per person it was too pricey for the average family. Overall, though, the cost of our stay was a great value. We look forward to going back!

a typical big chain hotel, all the staff are polite, knowledgeable and efficient but lack a little warmth, everything works well and overall 'it does what it says on the tin'. Good location.

The location of the hotel is very good - facing the Vistula River and only a short walk to the centre of Krakow. The staff could not be more helpful, friendly and obliging. Taking breakfast under the glass roof atrium was a lovely way to start the day. The selection of food was beautifully laid out and presented. We could not fault the room either. When we revisit Krakow, we will again be staying at the lovely Sheraton Hotel!

the piano player was great feature. It was very quiet. The only snag was the front desk took a while to pick up when i called them on seperate occasions. they were very helpful when they did pick up. the mini bar prices were exceptionally high. but i enjoyed my sty and would do it again for the right price.

Great place to stay with a great breakfast! Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful city. Only the service in the restaurant let down the hotel. It was very slow and four of us eating breakfast ate it one at a time.

Great room for the money and beautiful hotel. The desk staff were great. Problem was in the restaurant where you couldn't get anyone to wait on you or to do what you asked without waiting an inordinate amount of time. Breakfast is not all that complicated. I did not get coffee without getting up and finding a waiter on my own on the two mornings I ate there. For the prices they were getting better service was warranted.

The Sheraton Krakow has a great view onto the Wawel castle, and is a pleasant stroll either left or right out of the hotel in a big arc to the centre of the old town. As a hotle it's not so big, nor is it one of those irritating "boutique" hotels that grate on people of a certain age: me. The hotel Mercedes are even slightly cheaper to go and from the airport than the normal cabs. The breakfast buffet is enormous, not sure if you need it, certainly not in hot summer weather (37 degrees C). Room service is good, the food of a high standard; no complaints. Service was always cheerful from all staff and helpful. Decor: I know what they were trying to do: old Krakow, but I think the room curtains are unnecessary ( you get blackouts anyway)and the carpets throughout could be more muted and subtle: but that's a personal opinion. Room temperature controls work well, efficiently and quiet. Adequate supply of good quality towels, amenities, bathrobe and hairdryer provided. Recommend it? definitely. For leisure and for business. I especially like the framed photographs of Krakow town around the rooms and the hotel public areas. Someone really knew what they were doing.

Unless you are staying in the square,this must be one of the nicest locations overlooking the river and the castle

Krakow is an amazing destination and this hotel really made the stay, it turned it into a real luxurious holiday rather than our more standard city break. The only downside is the hotel is so wonderful you'll want to spend time relaxing there rather than getting out and seeing the sites. Brilliant location right next to Wawel which is a must see and close to the river so it's more peaceful than some of the more central hotels. The staff were outstanding, very helpful and always went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay. We upgraded to a club room which I would really recommend as it was fabulous.

Our stay at The Sheraton was particularly nice. Sheraton never disappoints! A first class stay with great staff and a great breakfast. Being beside the river and just next door to the Castle we were in an ideal position to get about the nicest part of the city. Great place for a short break.

From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the staff of this hotel were nothing but brilliant. The hotel itself is spotless, the food is lovely and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is very nice, beside the castle & river and yet just a short walk and you are in the main square. This hotel helped make a great trip even better.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Sheraton Hotel. When we arrived we were told that checking in time was 2pm so we walked around the beautiful city that is Krakow. When we returned we were taken to our most comfortable and spotless room. Our travelling companions' room was not ready so they received an apology and an upgrade with which they were delighted. we really enjoyed our time in the hotel which we are delighted to recommend, the only small criticism was that although the staff on front desk were at all times most helpful and courteous, at times the front desk was very busy and one had quite a wait for service. That aside we would certainly stay in the Sheraton hotel Krakow again.

Hotel is in the perfect location with great views of the river and right next to the castle. Rooms are large and extremely clean. Staff are friendly and helpful at all times day or night. Also staff are very informative. Will be going back to Krakow and will be going back to the Sheraton. 5 Star for sure.

Superb hotel, great location and friendly staff

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, ending May 4. It's a beautiful hotel and makes quite an impression when entering. Registration was easy and very pleasant. Very helpful front desk. The concierge was helpful if you wanted to book excursions with her, but didn't offer much if you wanted to do things on your own. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. The bellman neglected to tell us that you needed to insert your room key card into a slot to get electricity or tell us you also needed to use your key card for the elevator. But that just makes for a more interesting trip. The only real complaint was that housekeeping didn't change our glasses for 3 days even when we asked that they be changed. Aside from that the Sheraton was a great place to stay.

On arrival at the hotel, the staff on reception were very friendly & helpful. We had asked for a room with a view of the river & castle & this was made available to us. Our room was spacious, the bathroom lovely & the king size bed extremely comfortable. The Buffet breakfast was superb & catered to every taste. Our stay at the Sheraton Krakow was a wonderful experience.

The hotel is in a great location on the river next to the castle. It is a 5 star hotel but I think felt too corporate to feel luxurious, having said that there was nothing to fault. Reception desk and concierge were extremely friendly and helpful, they arranged a number of trips for us. We stayed in a standard room which had one of the most comfortable beds either of us had ever slept in. Room was a good size and well equipped. We were not in the room much so it did not bother us, but you can pay extra for a river or castle view. Breakfast was a buffet style there was also a chef to cook fresh omelettes and fried eggs. You can get a standard tea or filter coffee from the waitresses and there is a coffee machine for latte/cappuccino and even sparkling wine for a bucks fizz or two. Breakfast was generally excellent only criticism was the pancakes were a bit crispy like they been out for a bit too long, this was not a problem as there was plenty to choose from. The dining area was in the atrium of the hotel which had a great light and airy feeling. Used the pool once which was fine, there is also a sauna and gym in the basement. We used the sports bar attached to the hotel a few times, it is obviously more expensive than outside but not too much. The food here was again excellent. Free internet is available in the business centre, which has a large plasma tv with business news channel and 5 or 6 pcs attached to a printer.

5 star service as well as accommodation , the staff were very helpful & friendly even with our 2 year old monster running amok !! - cannot praise them enough ! hotel Merc. picked up from airport & after talking to other tourists it was cheaper than local taxi !!! Also set in superb location next to river & castle..

superb hotel

Location is ideal for sightseeing in Krakow. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very spacious room with comfortable beds. Only downside was room looked onto centre of hotel therefore we had no idea what the weather was like outside.

Well positioned hotel with helpful & friendly staff

This hotel was perfect for a visit to Krakow. It was situated right on the river and close to the Castle and old part of the town. They orgaised taxis to and from airport at low cost.

The hotel is absolutely fabulous and refreshing to stay somewhere which actually lives up to it's star rating. The staff are friendly and all speak English, room service was great and anything you need the reception are very helpful. The location is great right next to Wawel castle overlooking the river and a short walk to the beautiful old town square. Food and alcohol is exceptionally good value, in the old town square we had a large meal each, 2 glasses of wine and 2 soft drinks for £13! Our only disappointment which was half expected was that me and my friend could not go clothes shopping as all were shut for Easter, and looked very good too as we nosed through the windows! However we still visited the salt mine and Auschwitz and enjoyed the Easter markets on the Sunday. A lovely town and excellent hotel and I am a very fussy lady on cleanliness!!

We stayed in the hotel over the Easter break - we had a fabulous time. The hotel is excellent, clean and the staff are really helpful and friendly.

Non-smoking rooms smelled of smoke. Thehot buffet breakfast was a bit on the cold side but tasted good all the same. The service was excellent and the hotel is in a great location if you don't mind a 10 minute walk to a very busy centre! Was nice to get away from the crowds.

The hotel was very well located, very comfortable, relaxing, the breakfeast was lovley and staff were very helpful. i would very much recommend this hotel

Whilst I would not agree that this is a 5-star hotel, it's a healthy 4 and a half! The service from the minute we arrived was exceptional. Very friendly, little fuss when checking in and out, two excellent bars and a quality restaurant. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed and clean. A bonus is the inclusion of a proper iron & ironing board rather than those attached to a trouser press. Also the mini bar is as you would expect, whilst being surprisingly decent value.

Fabulous hotel really enjoyed stay ,definitely recommend the delux room and buffet breakfast.relaxing atmosphere.

Spent three nights at the Sheraton from 19th March for our 10th wedding anniversary. Found hotel to be perfect, very clean, very helpful staff, breakfast spread excellent(one small grumble was that the cooked breakfast could have been kept warmer) but the choice was excellent and we didn't really need lunch, used the pool and sauna and again staff were great no problems. Would definently stay at this hotel again if I was back as a couple, maybe not if I was with the guys.

Service was excellent, room was really spacious. Breakfast buffet had a great selection. One negative was the pool was cold and tiny. Also the sauna's were in the changing room so a single one for male and female which were really small. Overall don't pick this hotel for its leisure and spa facilites as you won't use them. Great hotel other than that, right beside Wawel Castle and about 15 minute walk to square.

We stayed 3 days, hotel lovely, clean and the staff are very helpfull, always smiling. would recomand a visit

We booked into The Sheraton in advance for 4 nights, taking advantage of a 4-night booking discount. We enjoyed every day and night that we spent there. The design of the hotel is excellent, with its balconies and lovely light and airy atrium that provides its focal point. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful and could not be faulted in any way. The breakfast was a sight to behold in itself and we also enjoyed a meal in the attached bar and restaurant - Some Place Else - also highly recommended. The combination of the Sheraton's comfort and design, facilities such as the gym and pool, superb customer service and guided tour options, together with the quality of the food and drink, made this a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay during which we felt taken care of and looked after. Thank you to everyone who contributed to that.

Nothing at all to complain about- staff were friendly and helpful, speak excellent english and the hotel itself is a stunning modern building. We got a good deal to stay at a hotel we perhaps would not normally have been able to afford, but at no time did we feel out of place. Nice swimming pool and we even got a massage at a very reasonable rate!

The hotel staff made every effort to make our stay as relaxing and as comfortable as possible. The receptionists, bar staff and waiters could not have been more helpful or friendly. We stayed in the Deluxe room with a view of the castle and the river; it was beautiful. Breakfast exceeded our expectations and has something for everyone. No complaints whatsoever, I will recommend to all my friends!

Hotel was very comfortable. location good but about a 7/10 min walk from Centre. However, at the foot of Wawel Castle. Cooked breakfast was disappointing. Staff helpful and friendly.

We stayed for 6 days in Nov '07. The girl at reception gave us the best room available, ie. a high floor with a view of the Vistula. The room was lovely. The decor. the bathroom, the very large and extremely comfortable bed were first class. It was a very nice touch to bring a tray of fruit and dainties to the room to welcome us. The breakfast buffet consisted of almost everything anyone would want and everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The dining area is superb. It is so bright and airy you have the feeling of dining al fresco with all the comforts of being indoors. The bar is also very good. Our best words of praise are for the staff. They were the most polite and courteous we have experienced. All of the staff, whether at reception, at breakfast or in the bar were obviously trained to a high professional standard and were all anxious to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. There is just one negative point i would make and it is in regard to the fitness centre. There are separate saunas for men and women so if a couple go together they must say bye to each other until they meet in the pool or the gym. The pool was a little small, also there was no jacuzzi. Overall however it is a beautifully designed very well run hotel and it was a pleasure to look forward to coming back to it having spent the day exploring the beautiful city of Krakow. .

Not worth the money. Their check in time is at 3pm we did not get our room until 4pm...We were restricted to certain areas of the hotel. Rooms are decent, but definitely not worth the price.

The Sheraton Krakow was beautiful! The staff is friendly, it is within walking distance to the Old Town, the rooms are immaculate, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel - great amenities and all the comforts of home. It's great traveling to Europe knowing the comforts of home are at this hotel.

Høy standard og rolig hotell. Beliggenhet er bra, men pris på frukost ikke rimelig i forhold til prisnivået i byen.

Vi hadde 4 -dagers avslappende opphold. Vi bodde på et stort rom (Deluxe) med utsikt til elven. På tross av 33 varme grader ute virket klimatisering veldig bra.
