The hotel Ambassador has a 19th century façade augmented by a modern glass extension and is situated 500 metres from Nikolsky Cathedral and enjoys citywide views from its rooftop restaurant. It offers 255 air-conditioned guestrooms located on nine floors with traditional style decor in pastel blue and white. All guestrooms include minibars, satellite television with premium channels and pay movies, direct-dial telephones, Internet connections, safes and bathrooms with hair dryers and toiletries.
Guests can head to the hotel's health and fitness centre for an invigorating work out in the gym or a swim in the indoor pool. Afterwards, guests can relax in the spa tub, sauna or steam room, enjoy a massage or visit the hair and beauty salon. The Ambassador Restaurant has a high glass-domed ceiling and serves a range of international and Russian meals, while the top floor restaurant Le Vernissage has views across the city and offers a blend of Russian and fine international dishes. With its Tower of Babel themed decor, Babylon serves a full tea menu, and a range of drinks and televised sports are on offer at the Gallery Bar. The hotel has ATM banking and a grocery, and multilingual staff provide concierge services and can arrange currency exchange, laundry and dry cleaning. There is also a technology helpdesk with computer rental, wireless Internet and a fully equipped business centre and conference facilities. Motorists will find garage parking or the hotel can arrange an airport transfer. St Isaak Cathedral and the Mariinsky Theatre are both with one kilometre away and the State Hermitage Museum is three kilometres from the hotel. St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport is 15 kilometres away with an approximate driving time to the Ambassador of 20 minutes.
